From November 1 to June 30, catching, transporting, storing, marketing, exchanging, buying and selling, and using illegal nets are punishable offenses throughout the country. Violators of this law will be punished with a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 2 years of rigorous imprisonment or a fine of up to 5,000 taka, or both.
